The sawtooth-shaped buildings guide warm air over the peaks, encouraging natural ventilation and further increasing efficiency. This, coupled with the cool location, results in one of the best PUEs in Europe: 1.13. In the knowledge that a perfect score would be 1.0 (which is impossible because perfect efficiency is not a reality). France is still seeing PUEs of 1.4 without green energy.
Innovative Server Architecture

Optimal Interconnection
🌍 Hetzner ensures an impeccable interconnection with France, thanks to direct peering with France-IX Paris, which manages peaks of 2.5TBit/s. Hetzner's peering is 100Gbit/s on France-IX Paris, which has an impressive 99.9997% reachability rate over the past year.
However, there is a 5-10ms latency due to distance. In practice, with HTTP/2 (and 3) the impact is of the order of a margin of error, and the superior performance of the machines more than compensates for this micro-loss, with upload speeds between 2 and 4x faster than many French servers.
Network Performance in Practice
In practice, the main French ISPs such as Orange, SFR and OVH can saturate a gigabit link with Hetzner without any problems. Free, the worst pupil of interconnection in my general experience with them, still reaches Gigabit in burst and then oscillates between 100 and 250Mbit/s) because of its very conservative (not to say stingy) QoS rules. As for Bouygues, I know that you can saturate a 5G link without any problem, but I haven't yet had a chance to test the fibre link; as their interconnection is generally one of the best, I imagine that you can saturate a gigabit link too.
