Your favourite web host is pleased to announce that PHP 8.4 is now fully supported on your specialised WordPress web hosting.

This version brings significant improvements to the language, boosting performance, flexibility and code readability. Here's an overview of the main new features.

Your LRob host supports PHP 8.4

Native support for Plesk arrived on 21 January. This will have taken Plesk 2 months, which is longer than usual.

It has just been added to the LRob servers, making it available for your hosting services on 24 January.

PHP 8.4 will be supported until 1 January 2029!

Is there anything I should do?

LRob webmastering clients

If you have a LRob webmastering offer, your site is already running under PHP 8.3, which will remain supported for another 3 years.

However, we like to keep up to date, so we'll be updating to PHP 8.4 gradually over the next few weeks.

Hosting only customers

If your site is hosted by LRob without webmastering, everything is ready for you to move to PHP 8.4 in just a few clicks! Log in to your Plesk administration panel, then select PHP 8.4 in your PHP settings.

Important notes:

  • When upgrading to PHP 8.4, you should reset the «error_reporting» value in the PHP settings so that the «E_STRICT» value no longer appears (as this is no longer supported by PHP 8.4).
  • After any PHP version change, check your logs to make sure there are no errors.

If in doubt, contact your support team.

If you don't update your PHP version, all compatible sites will be upgraded to PHP 8.4 in August 2025.

Even better performance for your WordPress site

Greater safety and stability

With PHP 8.4, you benefit from a version that is stronger against security flaws, while being more reliable. This means less risk of bugs or unexpected errors, especially if you use well-maintained extensions or themes.

Improved compatibility

PHP 8.4 includes changes that make the management of certain features more efficient. For WordPress users, this can mean better compatibility with modern extensions and new themes, while simplifying future updates.
